Kuwait Amir Visits Ministry of Defense to Boost Armed Forces’ Capabilities

Kuwait City: His Highness the Amir, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, visited the Ministry of Defense headquarters accompanied by His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah and Acting Prime Minister Sheikh Fahad Yusuf Saud Al-Sabah. They were welcomed by key figures including Minister of Defense Sheikh Abdullah Ali Al-Sabah and other senior officials.

According to Kuwait News Agency, during his visit, His Highness the Amir addressed the personnel of the Defense Ministry, extending greetings for the holy month of Ramadan. He expressed his pride in the Kuwait Armed Forces and emphasized the importance of enhancing their capabilities to safeguard the nation’s security and independence. His Highness underscored the commitment to developing the armed forces’ potential to fulfill their duties across air, sea, and land.

His Highness the Amir conveyed condolences to the families of martyrs from a recent live ammunition exercise and wished a speedy recovery to the injured. He highlighted the Ministry of Defense’s role in preparing national cadres and fostering loyalty among personnel. His Highness acknowledged the Ministry’s efforts in collaborating with other state institutions, including the Ministry of Interior and Kuwait Fire Force, to ensure national harmony and security.

Additionally, His Highness the Amir highlighted the armed forces’ contributions to Kuwait’s humanitarian missions, including providing relief aid to countries in crisis. He praised the efforts of female personnel within the Ministry and stressed the importance of regional stability amidst challenging conditions in neighboring countries.

His Highness reiterated confidence in the armed forces and the leadership of the defense minister, urging continued reforms, transparency, and justice. He emphasized the need for military education, cyber protection, and international collaboration in cybersecurity innovations.

The Deputy Chief of the General Staff extended Ramadan greetings to His Highness the Amir and lauded the Defense Ministry’s humanitarian efforts. He noted the ongoing relief initiatives for Syrian, Lebanese, and Yemeni peoples, coordinated with the Kuwait Red Crescent Society and Zakat House.

The visit concluded with a poem by Major Dhari Meshal Al-Bogan, which was well-received by the attendees.
