Kuwait City: The State of Kuwait and Tajikistan signed several agreements and memoranda of understanding (MoUs) in the presence of His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah and Tajikistan President Emomali Rahmon. These agreements aim to bolster cooperation between the two nations in various sectors.
According to Kuwait News Agency, among the signed agreements is a memorandum of understanding on labor exchange in the private sector. This was signed by Foreign Minister Abdullah Al-Yahya from the Kuwaiti side and Minister of Labor and Migration Gulnara Hasanzoda from the Tajiki side, emphasizing efforts to enhance labor relations.
Further strengthening diplomatic ties, Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdullah Al-Yahya and his Tajikistan counterpart Sirodjidin Muhriddin signed a memorandum of understanding between the Soud Al-Nasser Al-Sabah Diplomatic Institute and the Tajikistan Diplomatic Training Center. In the trade sector, Kuwaiti Minister of Commerce and Industry Khalifa Abdullah Al-Ajeel Al-Askar and Tajikistan Minister of Economic Development and Trade Zavqizoda Zavqi Amin signed a memorandum of understanding on trade. This aims to foster economic cooperation and boost trade relations between the two countries.
Additionally, a memorandum of understanding on industrial cooperation was signed by Kuwaiti Minister Khalifa Abdullah Al-Ajeel Al-Askar and Tajikistan Minister of Industry and New Technologies Sher Ali Kabir. This agreement seeks to enhance industrial collaboration and innovation.
Lastly, an amendment to an agreement on the avoidance of double taxation and the prevention of fiscal evasion with respect to taxes on income and capital was signed.
