Kuwait’s Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has issued two additional circulars pertinent to cargo flights and arrivals to Kuwait.
Circular No. 30, which handles cargo flights, states that an operation request must be sent to the DGCA, including the information of the flight, details of the shipment, and air crews.
It also requests air crews to adhere to the procedures of the health authorities at Kuwait International Airport. The request can be sent to the following e-mail: Schedules@dgca.gov.kw.
In addition, air crews are allowed to use the Kuwait International Airport transit hotel if they wish, it said, noting that health procedures are mandatory and will be applied.
Circular No. 31, which targets all arrivals to Kuwait, states that all arrivals from Egypt, China, Hong Kong, South Korea, Italy, Iran and Iraq are to be placed under quarantine for 14 days.
All arrivals to Kuwait International Airport coming from the other courtiers will enter 14-day mandatory home self-quarantine, according to the circular.
Meanwhile, Jazeera Airways, a Kuwaiti private airline, said its fleet of 14 planes is ready to carry Kuwaiti citizens, goods and medical supplies to Kuwait under these circumstances.
It added in a statement that it was equipping an integrated medical facility at Kuwait International Airport’s Terminal 5 (T5) to check arrivals to Kuwait for coronavirus once flights resume
