Kuwait Cabinet Briefed on Amir’s Representative’s Participation in Arab Summit

Kuwait City: The cabinet was briefed on the visit to Egypt by the Representative of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, who led the Kuwait delegation to the extraordinary Arab Summit.

According to Kuwait News Agency, the summit focused on the latest developments concerning the Palestinian cause and joint Arab efforts to support the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, particularly their right to live on their own land. The weekly cabinet meeting, held at Bayan Palace on Tuesday morning, was chaired by Acting Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Youssef Saud Al-Sabah, as stated by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Shereedah Abdullah Al-Mousherji.

At the start of the meeting, cabinet members conveyed their best wishes for His Highness the Amir, His Highness the Crown Prince, citizens, expatriates in Kuwait, and the Arab and Muslim nations during the holy month of Ramadan. Additionally, the cabinet was informed about messages recently sent to His Highness the Amir by leaders of friendly countries, discussing ways to enhance bilateral relations and cooperation.

Minister of State for Communications Affairs Omar Saud Abdul-Aziz Al-Omar presented on the strategic partnership agreement between Kuwait and Microsoft. This agreement aims to launch an AI data center, a center for excellence in cloud auditing, and other centers. The initiative also focuses on building the capacity of national cadres and improving their AI skills to better qualify them for the future labor market.

The cabinet expressed appreciation for the efforts of Al-Omar and the committee overseeing the strategic partnership agreement with Microsoft. Furthermore, the cabinet reviewed the minutes of the ministerial committee on economic affairs, including the recommendation from the Secretariat of the Supreme Council for Planning and Development to endorse the annual development plan for 2025-2026.
