Kuwait caters for disabled people amid coronavirus

KUWAIT Kuwait’s Public Authority of the Disabled said Sunday that it spares no effort to provide the disabled with everything they need amid the novel coronavirus situation in the country.

The authority said in a statement that it offers people with disabilities meals, sterilizes their centers and ensures the proper health conditions of workers serving them.

An extraordinary meeting even took place at the authority on Saturday to mull how to step up psychological and social help to the disabled, the authority’s acting deputy director-general Hanadi Al-Mbelish was quoted as saying.

The authority’s staff and medics are working round the clock to take much care of people with disabilities, who are over 500, she affirmed.
