Kuwait confirms one death, 37 new COVID-19 cases Sun.

– Kuwait’s daily coronavirus cases rose by 37 to 411,484, while deaths increased by one to 2,446, the Health Ministry said Sunday.

Another 44 patients were cured of the virus, raising the total number of recoveries to 408,382, the ministry spokesperson Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad said in a statement to KUNA.

The number of patients receiving medical care in COVID-19 wards is 40, including 12 in intensive care units, he said, adding that another 656 are receiving regular treatment.

Some 18,701 swab tests were conducted over the past day, taking the total to 4.1 million, he noted.

The spokesman urged nationals and residents alike to follow health guidelines; mainly social distancing, as the sole way to rein in the spread of the virus.
