Kuwait Higher Education Minister underlines need for qualified graduates

– Minister of Higher Education Dr. Mohammad Al-Fares on Sunday affirmed necessity of equipping academic studies’ graduates with curricula that enable them meet requirements of the domestic work market.

The minister, also the minister of oil, who was addressing a meeting of the board at the national apparatus for academic accreditation, lauded the department for its pivotal role in backing up the local labor market with qualified would-be personnel in line with Kuwait Vision 2035.

Sound quality of education must be secured from teaching institutions that adopt international criteria, minister Al-Fares said.

Dr. Hamad Al-Adwani, the apparatus director general, indicated in a statement following the board session that the meeting examined new academic criterion, assessment rules and regulations of accredited universities abroad.
