Kuwait lists 1,443 new COVID-19 cases, four deaths

Kuwait said 1,443 people tested positive for coronavirus while four related deaths were reported on Thursday, taking the total up to 313,289 and 1,783, respectively, according to the health ministry.

Another 1,087 people were cured of the virus, raising the total of those to have overcome the disease to 297,329, ministry spokesman Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad told a press conference.

The number of people hospitalised with the virus currently stands at 14,177, with 146 of them in intensive care units, he added, revealing that some 11,043 swab tests were conducted over the last day out of a total of 2,640,588.

He went on to urge nationals and expatriates alike that abiding by health precautions, mainly, following social distancing rules, is the only way to halt the spread of the virus.
