Kuwait lists 1,512 new COVID-19 cases, three deaths

Kuwait said 1,512 people tested positive for coronavirus while three related deaths were reported on Sunday, taking the total number of confirmed cases up to 327,963 and the death toll to 1,820, respectively, according to the health ministry.

Another 1,266 people were cured of the virus, raising the total of those to have overcome the disease to 310,095, ministry spokesman Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad told a press conference.

The number of people hospitalised with the virus currently stands at 16,048, with 170 of them in intensive care units, he added, revealing that some 11,121 swab tests were conducted over the last day out of a total of 2,752,544.

He went on to urge nationals and expatriates alike that abiding by health precautions, mainly, following social distancing rules, is the only way to halt the spread of the virus
