Kuwait lists 2,645 more Covid-19 cases, no deaths

Kuwait’s Ministry of Health on Friday reported 2,645 new Covid-19 cases over the past 24 hours, taking the total infections since the outbreak of the pandemic to 428,100.

Some 247 persons recovered from the virus in the same period, the Ministry’s Spokesman Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad told KUNA, adding that this raised the total recoveries to 412,996.

No deaths were reported in 24 hours and the death toll remained at 2,469, he pointed out.

The number of ICUs cases hit 12, while there are 12,635 others being treated at home, in addition to 66 patients at Covid-19 wards, he made clear.

Up to 35,316 medical swabs were conducted in 24 hours, raising the total tests to 6,135,817, he said, noting that the infections-to-swabs ratio hit 7.5 percent.
