Kuwait Namaa Charity Opens Refugee Camp in North Gaza to Aid Displaced Families

GAZA CITY: Namaa Charity, part of Kuwait’s Social Reform Society, has established a new refugee camp in north Gaza to provide shelter for 200 families affected by recent rains. The initiative, launched in collaboration with Palestine’s Wafaa Capacity Building and Microfinance, aims to address the urgent needs of displaced Palestinians whose tents were damaged.

According to Kuwait News Agency, Wafaa chairman Muhaisen Atawneh emphasized that the camp represents an immediate response to the worsening humanitarian conditions in the region. Many Palestinians have been left without adequate shelter due to the rains, exacerbating the challenges faced by those already displaced by ongoing conflicts.

The camp is designed to house families forcibly displaced by Israeli occupation forces. Atawneh highlighted that the facility is equipped with essential items and water supplies to support the residents. This initiative is part of Namaa’s broader “Be Their Support” campaign, which seeks to provide winter essentials to r
esidents of Gaza, as well as Syrian refugees and individuals in Yemen.
