– The National Assembly approved, in its regular session Tuesday, amendments to draft laws related to agriculture and bankruptcy.
The first amendment — approved by 39, opposed by four with two abstained of the 45 MPs present — focused on membership term of Public Authority for Agriculture Affairs and Fish Resource’s board of directors, the fair distribution of agricultural and animal resources as well as production, in addition to penalties and fines of no more than KD 10,000 (USD 33,000) imposed by PAAF on violators of laws connected with licenses and exploitation of resources.
The second draft of the day was linked to amendment to laws concerning bankruptcy.
Thirty-five voted in favor of the draft law seven voted against it. There were 42 MPs present at the session.
The draft law aims at reshuffling and reorganizing laws connected with bankruptcy.
