– President of Kuwait Olympic Committee Sheikh Fahad Nasser Sabah Al-Sabah extolled Saturday the Gulf sports media covering of the 3rd GGCC Games that contributed to the success of the event.

In a speech following his visit to the media center, Sheikh Fahad said the distinguished work of journalists and media people at the championship played a key role in alluring massive fans to many contests.

He highlighted media outlets that paid much attention to individual sports, which are main factors of making achievements to the Gulf States at the Olympic and Asian games. He pointed to female athletes’ participation in the contests, commending their outstanding performance that reflects the development of Gulf women sports.

Meanwhile, head of Qatar’s media delegation Mohammad Zidan said wider coverage of the games on social media shows the success of the championship.

For his part, Sattam al-Sahli, a media committee official, said in a similar statement that the committee followed up daily administrative and technical reactions posted on social media regarding the results.
