ADIYAMAN: The Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS), in collaboration with the Turkish Red Crescent, has inaugurated a kitchen to support those affected by the 2023 earthquake in the Adiyaman province of southeast Turkiye. The initiative aims to provide daily meals for thousands of individuals impacted by the devastating event.
According to Kuwait News Agency, KRCS Deputy Chairman Dr. Nasser Al-Tannak stated that the new facility spans 1,067 square meters and is designed to serve up to 15,000 people each day. Dr. Al-Tannak highlighted that the project, which cost approximately USD 800,000, was entirely funded by the KRCS.
Adiyaman city governor Dr. Osman Varol expressed his gratitude towards Kuwait for its assistance, emphasizing the importance of the kitchen in aiding those affected by the earthquake.
