Kuwait reports 7 deaths, 1,331 new COVID-19 cases Sat.

– Kuwait said 1,331 people tested positive for coronavirus while seven related deaths were reported on Saturday, taking the total up to 315,900 and 1,794, respectively, according to the health ministry.

Another 1,310 people were cured of the virus, raising the total of those to have overcome the disease to 299,795, ministry spokesperson Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad told a press conference.

The number of people hospitalized with the virus currently stands at 14,311, with 149 of them in intensive care units, he added, revealing that some 9,350 swabs were conducted over the last day out of a total of 2.66 million.

He went on to urge nationals and residents alike that abiding by health precautions, mainly, following social distancing rules, is the only way to halt the spread of the virus.
