Kuwait reports four COVID-19 deaths, 1,345 infections

Kuwait’s Ministry of Health on Wednesday reported four new COVID-19 deaths, and 1,345 infections in the past 24 hours.

The Ministry’s spokesman Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad told KUNA that the total fatalities increased to 1,779 and the caseload to 311,846 since the beginning of the pandemic.

He added that the total recoveries have reached 296,242 after 1,270 patients recovered from coronavirus, making the recovery rate 95 percent out from the conducted tests.

Moreover, 13,825 patients in total are receiving health care, including 144 at intensive care units, he said.

Meanwhile, over the past 24 hours 10,844 tests were conducted, with infection rate 12.40percent, making the total conducted tests 2,629,545, he added.

Al-Sanad renewed his call on the public to maintain social distancing, and to abide with all health regulations that would help in stopping the virus spread
