Kuwait Secures Full Membership in International Skating Union for Figure Skating

Kuwait city: The Kuwait Winter Games Club (WGC) has announced that Kuwait has been granted full membership in the International Skating Union (ISU) for figure skating. This recognition comes under the newly established name, “Kuwait Figure Skating Federation,” marking a significant milestone for the sport on an international scale.

According to Kuwait News Agency, WGC Chairman Fahad Al-Ajmi revealed that the decision was finalized during the ISU’s 2025 meeting currently taking place in Switzerland. Al-Ajmi emphasized that this membership would enhance the sport by providing Kuwaiti female skaters with more opportunities for international competition and experience. He extended congratulations to all members of the federation and the club on this achievement.

Al-Ajmi expressed gratitude to the Kuwait Olympic Committee, led by Sheikh Fahad Nasser Al-Sabah, for its support of all five winter sports managed by the club. This development is expected to pave the way for further growth and participation in winter sports by Kuwaiti athletes on the global stage.
