Kuwait Shooting Club grants Kuwaiti shooter’s Olympic win to top leaders

Chairman of Kuwait Shooting Club Duaij Al-Otaibi on Monday granted the record win by the Kuwaiti shooter Abdullah Al-Rashidi at Tokyo Olympics to the top leaders of the State of Kuwait.

Al-Otaibi said in a statement that he is awarding Al-Rashidi’s accomplishment, winning the bronze medal in skeet competitions, to His Highness the Amir Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah as well as to the people of Kuwait.

Substantial support from the political leadership for the Kuwaiti sports in general and shooting in particular contributed to making this success, he said.

He praised he champion Al-Rashidi for winning the bronze medal and raising Kuwait Flag aloft at this international event — for the second time.

Al-Otaibi expressed good wishes to the Kuwaiti shooters, Abdulrahman Al-Faihan and Talal Al-Torqi, set to partake in the trap shooting competitions in Tokyo in two days.

He also expressed gratitude to Minister of Information, Minister of Culture and Minister of Youth Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi, Director General of the Public Authority for Sports Dr. Humoud Al-Flaiteh and all officials at the authority for their noticeable support for shooting at the national level
