Kuwait speedboat race concludes, winners honored

The third round of Kuwait speedboat championship for 2022-2023 season came to a close Friday.

Organized by the sailing and wakeboard committee of the Kuwaiti Maritime Sports Club, the event included 63 competitors with 21 boats, with Bader Al-Dousari and his assistant Mohammad Al-Eisaie coming first in the P-Class 19-25 feet boat category.

Ahmad and Nasser Al-Fassam came second, followed by Abdullah Al-Medini and Ahmad Al-Sabah in the same game.

In the P-Class 21-27 feet boat category, Khaled Karam and his assistant Adel Al-Shuraida came first, while Ahmad Al-Fassam and his assistant Barjas Al-Jaber came second, and Shuraida Al-Shuraida and Mohammad Al-Said won the third position.

In the N-Class 27-32 feet boat category, Mohammad Jomaa and Salem Al-Hajri won the first position, followed by Mahmoud Al-Shatti and Mohammad Eiada. Khaled Karam and Adel Al-Shuraida cam third in this tournament.

In a press statement on the sidelines of honoring the winners, Ali Al-Shamali, head of the sailing and wakeboard committee, said the tournament has still two rounds and the fourth one will be held on January 20.

He added that the race was held on Marina Beach under the patronage of President of Kuwait Olympic Committee Sheikh Fahad Nasser Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah.

He indicated that the race included Kuwaiti competitors to boost their skills and potential for next competitions outside the country.
