Kuwait to partake in WHA’s session due to kick start in Geneva Sunday

Health Minister Dr. Khaled Al-Saeed heads the Kuwaiti delegation at the 75th session of the World Health Assembly due in Geneva on May 22-28 to discuss combat of non-communicable chronic diseases.

The Ministry of Health said in a statement issued on saturday that the session agenda includes various topics, some related to lessons learned from fighting the coronavirus and a number of resolutions by the World Health Organization and the United Nations.

The agenda deals with issues related to human organs’ transplant, conventional medicine, blood transfusion, resolutions of previous sessions and reports related to admininstrative and financial issues.

Conferees are scheduled to designate a new director general for a five-year mandate and examine reports about health conditions for residents of the occupied territories including the Golan.

On the convention sidelines, it is scheduled that the prize of the late Amir, Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, for research the elderly care and boosting health, will be handed over to the winner, Hanadi Al-Hamad from Qatar
