Kuwaiti, Iraqi finance ministers discuss cooperation

Kuwait’s finance minister discussed means to boost bilateral relations in the investment and economic spectrums with his newly-appointed Iraqi counterpart on Saturday.
Kuwaiti minister Barrak Al-Sheetan and Iraq’s Deputy Prime Minister, Finance Minister and Acting Oil Minister Ali Allawi discussed jointly significant issues in light of regional and global developments, including the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The talks were also attended by Deputy Foreign Minister Khaled Al-Jarallah, Kuwait Investment Authority Managing Director Farouq Bastaki, Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development Deputy Director-General for Operations Marwan Al-Ghanim, Acting Assistant Undersecretary for Economic Affairs Abdulmohsin Al-Tayyar, Assistant Foreign Minister for the Deputy Minister’s Office Ayham Al-Omar and Minister Plenipotentiary at the Iraqi Embassy Mohammad Al-Hussaini.
