Kuwaiti students win High-Tech SeaPerch Challenge

Three Kuwaiti students out of Wadi (Valley) Al-Shabab program won the West Asia regional Robotic Submarine Competition (SeaPerch) for the under-14 category.

A Press statement by the Ministry of Youth Affairs pronounced the winners; Hawrah Merzza, Mohammed Al-Bahar, Talal Al-Huzami, who were accompanied by their team manager Mohammed Al-Dhaferi and assistant Meriam Al-Salman, as victors of the competition.

Adding, this unique competition focuses on technical aspects of engineering, scientific tech, and marine engineering as the subject of the competition and challenges the participants in designing and creating a radio controlled robotic submarine using basic ship and submarine modules.

Main objectives of this challenge is to further develop the skills of the youth and their abilities to adapt to the latest developed artificial tech and electronic software.

Our Vision lie’s in our youth’s creativity and that creativity is a valued partner in Kuwait’s leadership which can only be attained through cooperation and making the most out of the ministry’s offered programs.

The competition is held yearly in the UAE, as a qualification for the SeaPerch International Finals challenge to be hosted in Maryland, USA on June 4-5
