Damascus: The 19th Kuwaiti relief plane landed at Damascus International Airport, carrying 10 tons of aid. The initiative was organized by the Al-Salam Association for Humanitarian and Charitable Works in collaboration with Kuwait’s Ministries of Social Affairs, Foreign Affairs, and Defense, and supported by the Kuwait Air Force.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the “Kuwait is by Your Side” campaign is sustaining its humanitarian efforts by delivering essential aid to the Syrian people through Kuwait’s air bridge. The assistance includes food supplies such as flour, dates, rice, and oil, along with blankets, winter clothing, gloves, medical supplies, ambulances, and wheelchairs.
Upon arrival, the Syrian Arab Red Crescent is responsible for receiving the aid at Damascus International Airport. They sort the supplies and distribute them via trucks to storage facilities. To date, 535 tons of aid have been delivered to Syria through Kuwait’s air bridge, with distribution managed by Kuwaiti charities, organizations, and official entities.
