Kuwait’s National Assembly Speaker, Marzouq Ali Al-Ghanim, has left for Tokyo, on Sunday evening, leading a parliamentary delegation, on a four-day official visit to Japan.

During the visit, Al-Ghanim will hold talks with Japanese Prime Minister, Shinzo Abe, Speaker of the House of Representatives (the lower house of the National Diet), Tadamori Oshima, and President of the House of Councillors (the upper house), Chuichi Date.

He will also meet members of the Japanese mission to the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), and the Japanese Business Federation (JBF) Committee, on the Middle East and North Africa, according to the National Assembly’s Al-Dusour, news network.

Al-Ghanim and his party were seen off by Secretary-General of the Assembly, Allam Al-Kandari, Secretary of the Assembly, Awdeh Al-Rowei’e, Minister of State for National Assembly Affairs, Adel Al-Kharafi, and Japan’s charge d’affaires. The delegation, accompanying him, includes, MP’s Nayef Al-Merdas, Osama Al-Shahin, Khaled Al-Shatti, Khaled Al-Otaibi, Majed Al-Metairi, Mubarak Al-Harees, Mohammad Al-Dallal, Abdelwahab Al-Babtain and Nasser Al-Dossari.
