Kuwait’s Burgan Bank on Wednesday announced a net profit of KD 52.13 million (about USD 157.9 million) for the financial year ended on December 31, 2022, compared with KD 45.3 million (about USD 137.8 million) in 2021, up 15 percent.

Earnings per share amounted to 12.6 fils in 2022, compared with 12.5 fils in 2021, a rise of one percent, the bank said in a disclosure posted on the Boursa Kuwait’s website.

Established in 1975 and listed on the Boursa Kuwait in 1984, Burgan Bank has an authorized capital of KD 400 million (around USD 1.2 billion) and is active in all banking activities
