The timeline begins in 1971, when the seventh government was formed under the leadership of Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, consisting of 13 ministers, symbolizing a structured political framework in the nation’s governance.

According to Kuwait News Agency, another significant event occurred in 2003 when the constitutional court ruled that the parliament must fulfill its four-year mandate, emphasizing the importance of a complete legislative term. The court also stipulated that the final 60 days be dedicated to organizing new elections, ensuring a smooth transition of power and upholding democratic processes.
