PARIS, French President Emmanuel Macron has expressed concerns over Tehran’s reduction of its nuclear commitments, particularly its decision to increase uranium enrichment levels and reserves.
In a phone call with Iranian President Hassan Rouhani on Saturday, Macron urged Iran to refrain from any other measure that would undermine its nuclear obligations, according to a statement by the Elysee Palace.
The French leader also said he would continue efforts and consultations with international partners to defuse tension and retain the 2015 nuclear deal. He noted that he would announce on July 15 conditions for resuming dialogue among all concerned parties to end current tension.
