Caribbean: An earthquake of 7.6-magnitude hit the Caribbean region, sending a Tsunami alarm, said scientific centers on Sunday.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the United States Geological Survey revealed that the earthquake occurred Saturday at 8:23 pm local time, six miles west of the Cayman Islands’ coast. This seismic event triggered Tsunami alarms in several Caribbean nations.
The US Tsunami Warning Centers issued a warning that Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands, in the central part of the Caribbean, would face high waves and strong sea currents. Similar warnings were also issued for Cuba, Jamaica, Mexico, Costa Rica, and Haiti.
