Masrour Barzani stresses the need to benefit from the Japanese experience in investing in human resources

The PM of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Masrour Barzani, stressed the need to benefit from the Japanese experience in investing in human wealth and raising and motivating generations.

The presidency of the regional government stated in a statement: “Barzani received a Japanese delegation that included the Japanese Assistant Foreign Minister in charge of Middle East and African affairs, Kansuke Nagaoka, the Japanese Ambassador to Iraq, Futoshi Matsumoto, and representatives of a number of Japanese companies.”

Barzani stressed “the importance of benefiting from the pioneering Japanese experience, especially in the field of investing in human capital, raising new generations and stimulating their capabilities for innovation and creativity,” noting that “Japan’s experience in this regard is a model that deserves appreciation and admiration, and we can greatly benefit from it.”

For its part, the Japanese delegation stressed the existence of many favorable opportunities to enhance Japanese investment in the Kurdistan region, which has made great progress in the areas of construction and reconstruction in recent years.

The two sides also exchanged views on ways to enhance relations between the Kurdistan region and Japan in the fields of transport, communications, agriculture, education and industry.

On a related level, Barzani received the Swiss Ambassador to Iraq and Jordan, Emilia Georgieva, and during the meeting, they discussed the latest developments in the general situation in Iraq and the region, in addition to discussing ways to strengthen bilateral relations..
