The Minister of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif bin Abdulaziz Al Al-Sheikh visited the Mohammed VI Institute for the Training of Male and Female Imams in the Moroccan capital, Rabat, as part of his current visit to Morocco. The invitation to visit came from the Moroccan Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, Ahmed Toufiq.
Upon arrival, he was welcomed by Dr. Abdelsalam Lazaar, the Director of the Institute, and joined by senior officials from both ministries. During the visit, Al Al-Sheikh was briefed on Morocco’s experience in training and preparing imams, male and female guides, and toured the various departments of the institute and the institute’s library, and listened to an explanation about the history of the institute and its historical stages, and its most prominent achievements, and services
Al Al-Sheikh praised the institute’s efforts in training and developing imams and guides, enabling them to disseminate the true message of such institutions, and preparing them to deliver the message of the mosque effectively. He emphasized the importance of demonstrating the true values of Islam, which call for mercy, tolerance, coexistence, and combating extremism and hatred.
