The Ministry of Oil announced, today, Friday, the completion of the drilling of the Nasiriyah / 60 oil well.

A statement by the Ministry stated, “the technical and engineering personnel of the Iraqi Drilling Company have completed the drilling of the Nasiriyah / 60 oil well at a depth of 2110 meters, as part of the work of the ” Musharraf Formation” project for the contract concluded with the Dhi Qar Oil Company, which includes drilling 20 oil wells in the Nasiriyah oil field in cooperation with Weatherford Oil Services Company.

He added, “the drilling operations were carried out using the IDC 46 drilling rig with a capacity of 1,000 horsepower, which is the fourteenth well that the company has accomplished within this contract.”

He continued, “the company owns 43 drilling and reclamation rigs, including 30 modern rigs, ranging in capacity from 500-3000 horsepower. Its work area extends over the geographical area from north to south.
