The Ministry of Finance announced Tuesday that it would take back the possession of Friday (Al-Jumma) Market from the leasing company as the contract had expired on March 1, 2023.
In a press statement, the ministry said that the State Property Department is keen on continuing the market activities and receiving its visitors from citizens and residents as soon as possible as it is considered a popular market of a special nature.
It noted that the State Property Department is currently completing the market regaining and re-operating procedures.
