Kuwait National Assembly Speaker Marzouq Al-Ghanim sent a cable of congratulation to Mohammad Al-Halbousi who was reelected earlier Sunday as speaker of Iraqi Council of Representatives.

In his message, Al-Ghanim commended as “balanced and exemplary” the performance of Al-Halbousi during his past term in speakership, expressing hope for success in his new tenure.

He also voiced hope for closer parliamentary cooperation with Iraq at regional and international forums in order to serve the common interests of both countries.
