KUWAIT, Kuwait Anticorruption Authority (Nazaha) referred on Sunday an official — without disclosing his name, position, or the entity he worked for — to the public prosecution on the charge of accepting a bribe.
Nazaha spokesman and the Assistant Secretary Dr. Mohmmad Bouzber said in a press release that this case is considered a first of its kind.
After investigation, it turned out that a suspicious amount of money was deposited into the official’s account.
Nazaha affirmed that it would continue its work on fighting corruption by following leads and investigating suspicious and illicit acts.
