Occupation Authorities Release 183 Palestinian Prisoners

Jerusalem: The Israeli occupation authorities released on Saturday the fifth batch of 183 Palestinian prisoners, in implementation of the terms of the ceasefire agreement that was reached through Egyptian-Qatari-US mediation.

According to Kuwait News Agency, some 35 Palestinian prisoners arrived in the city of Ramallah via a Red Cross bus that transported them from the Israeli Ofer prison. Hundreds of Palestinians received them, and the occupation released three prisoners from the city of Jerusalem.

In a press statement Saturday, the Commission of Prisoners’ Affairs, the Prisoners’ Club, and the Government Media Office stated that among those released were 111 prisoners from the Gaza Strip who were arrested by the occupation after October 7, 2023, in addition to 27 people with high sentences.

Earlier today, the Hamas movement announced the release of three Israeli prisoners from the city of Deir Al-Balah in the Gaza Strip.
