GAZA, A Palestinian young woman was killed by Israeli fire on Friday as Palestinians in Gaza continued protests they launched in the Gaza Strip late in March, the Palestinian Health Ministry.
Israeli forces shot dead Razaan Al-Najjar, 21, east of the Khan Younis city, south of the Strip, during Friday’s protests, ministry spokesman Dr. Ashraf Al-Qedra said in a press release.
Al-Najjar voluntarily performed humanitarian task, offering medical care to people wounded during the protests that went off on March 30 themed “Great march of return.” Al-Qedra called Al-Najjar “martyr of humanitarian work.” Meanwhile, the spokesman said more than 100 Palestinian were wounded today, 40 of them with live ammunition, as they protested in several spots on Gaza’s eastern borders with Israel. Protesters shouted slogans demanding lifting the Israeli siege on Gaza.
For the past three months, Palestinian have taken part in protests, mainly on Friday, to stress their demand of returning to the land they were forced to abandon in 1948.
