Planning institute honors outstanding participants in development prog.

The Arab Planning Institute honored outstanding participants in the first level of a training plan in development planning and general administration on Wednesday.

In a speech during the ceremony, the intitute’s Director General Dr Bader Malallah affirmed that the institute’s partnership with the General-Secretariat of the Supreme Council for Planning and Development is strategic and beneficial for the state’s institutions.

The ceremony honored employees of both the private and public sectors, with the presence of chairman of the Civil Service Commission Mariam Al-Aqeel.

The training plan aims to support the government’s efforts to face the impact of the coronavirus crisis and enhance the skills of Kuwaiti manpower in different development-related fields, he said.

The first phase was held from July 2020 to March 2021, through 30 online training programs for about 900 participants, said Malallah, adding that there were 113 outstanding students in the program.

Moreover, the institute launched the second training phase on 20th September, with 30 online programs for about 1,000 employees.

The institute and the General Secretariat also agreed on launching a six-month program on development leadership, involving 21 workshops, starting mid-November, he added.

On his part, the institute’s Secretary General Dr Khaled Mahdi expressed his joy on the success of level one, noting that the program aims to raise the level of expertise of Kuwaiti employees in accordance with the Kuwait vision 2035.
