Pres. Trump’s stock market rally outpacing former US presidents – report

WASHINGTON, President Donald Trump’s stock market stacks up well against the majority of his presidential predecessors, a CNBC report showed Thursday.

In its report, which was based on data from Bespoke Investment Group dating to 1928, the CNBC said that the S&P 500 had returned more than 50 percent since Trump was elected, more than double the 23 percent average market return of presidents three years into their term.

It added that the bellwether index gained more than 28 percent this year, well above the average 12.8 percent return of year three for past US presidents.
