DOHA The Qatari Ministry of Health on Friday reported 58 new novel coronavirus (COVID-19) cases, bringing the Gulf country’s count of confirmed virus infections up to 320.
The fresh infections are mostly related to previously announced cases which are mostly quarantined expatriates, the ministry said in a press statement.
The new patients have been put under quarantine and are now receiving necessary medical treatment and due care, according to the statement.
The ministry on Wednesday announced 238 additional infections with the deadly virus, which has already hit many countries and claimed the lives of thousands of people, mostly in China.
