Kuwait City: Qatar’s team emerged victorious against Saudi Arabia with a score of 31-22 in the 10th Arab Men’s Handball Cup, currently taking place at the Sheikh Saad Abdullah Complex in Kuwait. The match, which was part of Group B, saw Qatar securing their first win in the tournament.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the first half of the game was a closely contested affair, with both teams showcasing strong defensive plays. The half concluded with Qatar leading 16-12. In the second half, Qatar managed to widen the gap, ultimately claiming a decisive victory. The standout player of the match was Qatar’s goalie Ahmad Magdi.
Elsewhere in the tournament, Bahrain achieved a victory over Iraq with a score of 28-26 in Group A. The competition will also feature a match between Kuwait and Morocco in Group C later in the day.
