RIYADH, Saudi Arabia on Tuesday welcomed a recent British decision to designate Lebanon’s Hezbollah as a terrorist organization.
An official source of the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a press statement that terming this Iran-supported militia as a terrorist organization is a significant and constructive step in worldwide counterterror efforts.
The UK move matches Saudi Arabia’s previous measures against the military and political wings of Lebanon’s Hezbollah, according to the source.
The source called on the international community to follow suit by taking decisive and united stances against this terrorist militia which seeks to disrupt regional security and stability.
