Russia offers help to Iraq

MOSCOW, Russia said on Friday it is ready to help Iraq overcome the current situation, calling on the government to take effective stepsto face existing challenges.

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov said that his country, as a friend of Baghdad, could help Iraq put an end to its current conditions, if necessary, according to TASS News Agency He believed that the demands of Iraqi protesters, which are related to joblessness and corrupion, are justified.

Over 350 protesters have been killed and at least 15,000 others injured in ongoing demonstrations in main cities in Iraq.
