Saudi Arabia calls for punishing people behind Syria chemical attack

PARIS, Saudi Foreign Minister Adel Al-Jubeir called Tuesday for holding accountable all those responsible for the conflict in Syria, specially following the suspected chemical attack on town of Douma.

Saudi Arabia is consulting with its allies on how to retaliate against chemical weapons’ attacks in Syria, Al-Jubeir told reporters in Paris, where he was accompanying Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman.

He called for “holding accountable those responsible for the use of chemical weapons and prosecute them.

“There are ongoing consultations with a number of countries regarding steps to be taken to dealing with this issue,” he added. (end)
