Saudi Arabia Participates in Inauguration of OPCW Centre for Chemistry and Technology

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia participated on Friday in the inauguration of the Centre for Chemistry and Technology of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW).

The Saudi delegation was headed by the Secretary General of the National Authority for Chemical Weapons Convention (NACWC), Dr. Maan Al-Hafez, in the presence of the Saudi Ambassador to the Kingdom of the Netherlands and Permanent Representative to the OPCW, Ziyad Bin Maashi Al-Attiyah.

OPCW Centre for Chemistry and Technology was officially inaugurated by King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands.

The inauguration ceremony was held in the presence of the OPCW General Director, representatives of the member states, and several officials.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has donated 50,000 euros to establish the Center and to international efforts to enforce the prohibition of weapons of mass destruction.
