Saudi Arabia to require tourist visas for 49 countries – Al-Arabiya

RIYADH, Saudi Arabia is set to issue tourist visas for the first time to international visitors from 49 countries, said Al-Arabiya news on Friday.

Al-Arabiya pointed out that this include 38 countries from Europe and seven countries from Asia, in addition to the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.

The visas would be issued at a fee of SAR 300 (USD 80), and the national insurance fee is SAR 140 (about USD 37) paid by each tourist in addition to VAT and transaction fees.

It also noted that the validity of the visa will be 360 days from the issuance and the duration of stay in the Kingdom 90 days per visit and not more than 180 days during one year, adding that tourists can apply online or through visas machines in Saudi’ airports.

The Kingdom seeks to embrace a special position in the map of global tourism, where it began to establish a number of mega projects such as (Neom) and (Al-Qudiya) and (Red Sea) and others.
