RIYADH, Welcoming anew a recent deal between Yemen’s government and Transitional Council, the Saudi Cabinet Tuesday said all efforts are required to support Yemen’s security and stability.
The cabinet said in a statement following its routine meeting that the kingdom has been keen on helping the Yemeni people since the outbreak of the Yemeni crisis.
It also reiterated opposition to foreign interference in Yemen aiming at imposing a new reality in this war-torn Arab country by using force of arms, overthrowing its legitimacy and threatening the region’s security and its waterways vital to the world.
Minister of Media Turki Al-Shabanah was quoted in the statement as appreciating Arab and international reactions to the recent Riyadh Agreement, considering it a pivotal step towards a solution to the longstanding Yemeni crisis.
On Iran, the Saudi cabinet lashed out at it for failing to provide the required information to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) on its nuclear program.
