The fourth session of the Saudi-Bahraini Joint Consular Committee was held Wednesday at the Bahraini Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The meeting was chaired by the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs undersecretary for consular affairs, Ambassador Ali bin Abdulrahman Al-Yousef, and the Bahraini Ministry of Foreign Affairs undersecretary for consular and administrative affairs, Dr. Issa Nasser Al-Nuaimi.
In his opening remarks, Dr. Al-Nuaimi emphasized that the fourth session of the Joint Consular Committee comes as an implementation of the initiative approved by the Saudi-Bahraini Coordination Council.
He highlighted the strong commitment of both sides to develop and enhance consular cooperation as a fundamental pillar in the historical and brotherly relations between the two kingdoms.
Dr. Al-Nuaimi noted this commitment is in accordance with the noble directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain, as well as the directives
of governments of both countries, led by His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Bahrain, in their shared efforts to establish the foundations of cooperation, integration, and connectivity to serve the interests of both nations and their brotherly peoples.
Moreover, he expressed the pride of the Bahraini Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the significant achievements made in consular cooperation between the two brotherly kingdoms within the framework of the responsibilities and tasks assigned to the Consular Committee.
Ambassador Al-Yousef highlighted the deep-rooted historical brotherly relations between the two countries, noting the continuous development and growth in various fields, particularly in consular work.
He emphasized the mutual commitment of the two brotherly nations to continue building on the achievements of the committee in
its previous sessions and to enhance the levels of services provided to their citizens.
During the meeting, joint efforts were reviewed, and various initiatives and opportunities for exchanging experiences between the two sides in the consular field were discussed.
Additionally, the two sides followed up on the implementation of several relevant recommendations and addressed several agenda items within the committee’s scope.
