Saudi Doctor Receives Adrian O. Vladutiu Award for Excellence from State University of New York

Jazan University student Emad Alqassim has received the Adrian O. Vladutiu Award for Excellence from the State University of New York.

The university said that the Saudi resident doctor has stood out in the field of pathology by publishing research in international leading scientific journals such as Nature, which earned him this award.

In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), Dr. Alqassim said that the achievement reflects the interest, support and care that the Saudi students receive from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Scholarship Program.

He added that such achievement builds on previous Saudi scientific successes that have been made known in prominent scientific forums, and that the people of Saudi Arabia strive to achieve the Kingdom’s goals and ambitious plans.

Dr. Alqassim also said that this award recognizes the excellence of Saudi youths who work hard to enrich scientific knowledge in the Kingdom, supported by the wise leadership.

Th Adrian O. Vladutiu award is presented annually to honor a current or former resident of pathology who by his/her actions has shown a commitment to excellence in education, research, clinical practice or community service.
