Saudi ESCO 2024 Forum Kicks off in Riyadh to Promote Energy Efficiency


Riyadh: The Saudi ESCO 2024 forum commenced in Riyadh on Monday, bringing together energy efficiency service providers from across the Kingdom to enhance energy consumption practices in commercial and industrial facilities.

Minister of Energy and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Energy Efficiency Center (SEEC), Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, attended the event along with several board members.

During the opening session the Director General of SEEC, Nasser Al-Ghamdi, emphasized the center’s commitment to serving as a global reference for energy efficiency. He reiterated SEEC’s dedication to becoming a model for preserving natural resources to foster sustainability and economic and social prosperity by 2030. Al-Ghamdi highlighted the support provided by all sectors of the state, including the energy sector, and praised Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman bin Abdulaziz for his efforts in achieving this goal.

SEEC also launched various enabler initiatives during the session to support the e
nergy efficiency services sector in the Kingdom. The event honored several academic institutions, energy service providers authorized by SEEC, and companies involved in the center’s pioneering project for the trade sector, recognizing their contributions.

The forum saw the inauguration of an accompanying exhibition featuring numerous energy efficiency service providers, offering these companies an opportunity to showcase their efforts and services in energy audits for various facilities. The exhibition witnessed significant attendance from commercial facilities and interested individuals.
