Saudi King decrees minor cabinet reshuffle

RIYADH, Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud on Wednesday issued a royal order relieving Minister of Foreign Affairs Ibrahim bin Abdulaziz Al-Assaf and appointing Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah Al Saud in the post.

Upon the royal order, Al-Assaf was selected as Minister of the State and Member of the Cabinet, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.

The King also relieved Minister of Transport Nabil bin Mohammed Al Amoudi and named Eng. Saleh bin Nasser bin Ali Al-Jasser instead.

The King appointed Dr. Abdullah bin Sharaf bin Jumaan Al-Ghamdi as Chairman of the Saudi Authority for Data and Artificial Intelligence at the rank of minister, the agency said.

Saleh bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al-Othaim was named as Vice President of the Saudi Authority for Data and Artificial Intelligence at the excellent rank, it noted.

The order selected Esaam bin Abdullah bin Khalaf Al-Weqait as Director of the National Information Center at the excellent rank, it revealed.

Finally, Tareq bin Abdullah Al-Enazi was named as Chairman of the National Data Management Office at the excellent rank, the agency said.
